Firing It Up with Ninja: Launching the FlexFlame Grill
When Ninja came to us with the launch of their brand-new FlexFlame Grill, they weren’t just looking for pretty food shots—they wanted fire, flavor, and full-throttle storytelling. Known for pushing the boundaries in kitchen innovation, Ninja needed a partner who understood not only commercial production, but the fast-moving world of YouTube food creators. Thanks to our ongoing collaborations with talents like The Grill Dads, Max the Meat Guy, Nick DiGiovanni, and others, we were a natural fit.
The assignment? Six high-end commercial spots plus ten vertical social assets, all filmed over two days in Los Angeles. It was a tight timeline with big ambitions—and we were all in.
We ran two full production teams in tandem, capturing every angle, sizzle, and bite with total efficiency. Our commercial footage was shot on ARRI Alexa Mini cameras paired with Fujinon lenses, ensuring a rich, cinematic look that matched the premium quality of the FlexFlame itself. For social content, we kept things agile and authentic by shooting entirely on iPhones, but treated the footage with the same professional attention—fully color graded and polished like any of our commercial work. The result? Seamless cohesion between formats, whether you're watching on TV or scrolling through your feed.
To infuse the campaign with a unique comedic flair, we collaborated with Emmy-nominated director Quinn Wilson. Known for his award-winning work spanning national TV spots and viral online content, Quinn's expertise in blending humor with storytelling added a distinctive edge to the project.
To keep the grilling real, we brought in over ten FlexFlame units, allowing us to cook food live and authentically—no fakes, no food styling tricks. Every shot you see is the real deal, cooked exactly how you’d do it in your own backyard. That level of care mattered to us and to Ninja.
We also leaned into local LA crew to make production nimble and efficient, assembling a powerhouse team that brought their A-game under a tight schedule.
The final result? A campaign that feels bold, flavorful, and totally Ninja. We’re proud to have helped launch this grill with work that lives across multiple platforms—and captures just how hot the FlexFlame really is.
